Red Sox release 2009 schedule

The Boston Red Sox released their tentative 2009 schedule on Wednesday

The Red Sox open up the 2009 season at home against the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday, April 6. They close out the season with a four-game series against Cleveland at Fenway Park, with the final game on Sunday, Oct. 4.

Interleague play will be at Philadelphia, Washington, and Atlanta; and at home against the Mets, Marlins and Braves.
